SRG are excited to be working with a global leader in the development and manufacture of specialised pharmaceutical products.
We are looking for an experienced Formulation Scientist who is looking for a new challenge and the next step, with an opportunity to line manage and assist with the day to day running of the team.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity based in central Scotland.
The Role:
- Help lead Formulation and Process Development projects
- Work closely with the Formulation Manager to develop team strategy in line with product and project deadlines
- Author and review study protocols
- Provide technical guidance to other team members
- Liaise with internal stakeholders in other departments such as Project Management
- Ensure work in the team is aligned to SOPs and company protocols
- Work closely with the analytical development team to ensure analysis of samples
- Assist with procurement of materials in the lab and ensure materials for manufacture
- Perform risk assessments
Requirements:
- Degree in a relevant scientific discipline
- Industry experience in the formulation and process development field within pharmaceuticals
- Understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and requirements (cGMP)
- Ability to work independently and manage time and priorities within the team
- Ability to show proven technical problem solving skills in previous roles would be beneficial
- Prior experience helping to delegate workloads and oversee junior staff members would be beneficial
- Good communication skills and initiative
- Ability to cope with a fast paced environment
