Principal Control Systems Engineer (Team Lead)
We are looking for a highly experienced Control Systems Engineer to join our team in Edinburgh

As a Principal (Team Lead) Control Systems Engineer, you’ll spend your time
Delivering control systems algorithms and designing the control systems architecture based on functional and non-functional requirements
Undertaking both validation and verification of control systems
Integrating systems including custom hardware and commercial off-the-shelf equipment
Designing control systems for electromagnetic devices and 3-phase inverters and rectifiers
Developing dynamic models in MATLAB/Simulink and running SIL and HIL
Working with rapid prototyping hardware and development boards
Undertaking laboratory-based testing of systems in relationship to simulations and hardware and field-test prototypes
The key experience we’re looking for
Previous experience managing/ leading Engineers to develop capability
Previous experience designing modern and classical control systems and controller tuning
Advanced MATLAB, Simulink Simscape & Stateflow modelling skills
Experience in control of electrical power systems (voltage regulation, power factor correction, phase balance, harmonic elimination etc)
Experience in control of balanced and unbalanced three-phase power systems
Previous experience developing control software for Electronic Control Units
Ideally, you will have experience with Change Management version control tools and an appreciation of system integration and testing
