Title: Associate Lecturer/Lecturer in Veterinary Nursing

Salary: £34,626 – £41,893

We are seeking highly motivated individuals with teaching experience and a good knowledge of animal husbandry and care, to teach and support programmes within the Veterinary & Animal Sciences department, potentially including animal care, animal nursing and vet nursing students.
Responsibilities will include:
Delivering Teaching & Learning• Arranging/organising and developing materials for teaching as required• Delivering lectures to students at a variety of levels• Delivering programmes of education and training including teaching a wide range of practical skills to a high standard as well as classroom teaching to appropriate academic standards• Interacting with students to check knowledge and understanding• Providing constructive feedback to learners on their performance• Setting students project activity• Conducting student assessment in accordance with Awarding Body and Regulatory Body standards• Maintaining appropriate records of teaching and assessment• Maintaining appropriate records of attendance• Undertaking administration for external bodies as required• Provision of educational guidance, learning support, counselling and tutorials as required• Attending Careers Evenings, College promotional events, local and national shows to provide advice
Preparation for Classes• Preparing schemes of work and lesson plans• Preparing teaching and practical materials for demonstration/student workGuidance and Support• Acting as year tutor for students• Maintaining records of students attendance and achievements• Providing course induction to students• Developing and maintaining Programme Handbooks• Interviewing and advising prospective students• Providing careers advice (pre-entry and pre-exit) to students• Contributing to career and promotional events to provide information to potential students
