Principal Power Electronics Engineer (Team Lead)
We are looking for a highly experienced Power Electronics Engineer to join our team in Edinburgh.
We are experiencing a period of hyper-growth as we fully commercialise and this is an excellent opportunity to build a team in support of Enoda s aims to revolutionise grid distribution.

As a Principal (Team Lead) Power Electronics Engineer, you’ll spend your time
Collaborating in the completion of sophisticated design based on functional and non-functional requirements
Scoping and designing electrical hardware, including but not limited to, power electronics and control/communications
Using advanced simulation tools to produce high-fidelity static and dynamic models of electronic systems, in combination with electromagnetic and control system models
Advising on all aspects of electronic equipment design solutions to meet project requirements using prototyping, simulation, verification & validation
Researching new converter technologies and topologies to enhance product performance and working with cross-functional teams for integration and detail engineering to ensure smooth transition into series production phase
Carrying out delta engineering/application engineering of the platform products for subsequent platform variants
Undertaking laboratory-based testing of physical hardware, field testing & commissioning
The key experience we’re looking for
Previous experience managing/ leading Engineers to develop capability
Expert knowledge of high-power, high-speed power electronics, including a working knowledge of advanced materials including SiC
Static and dynamic simulation modelling and analysis
Experience in working within a multi-disciplinary environment on new product designs
Extensive experience with DC-AC and AC-DC 3-phase converters for power transmission/distribution applications
Experience using MATLAB Simulink, SPICE or similar for systems design
MEng / MSc Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Physics or equivalent
