Responsibilities THE ROLE As the Head of Physical Infrastructure, you will be responsible for overseeing North s Physical Infrastructure Strategy, product portfolio and roadmap, which will require close collaboration with vendors, partners, customers and internal teams. You will be North s foremost Physical Infrastructure expert, actively participating in new bid opportunities and developing your role as a trusted advisor to our key customers. Additionally, you will build your external profile as an industry thought leader: this will require you to keep abreast of advances and developments in the physical infrastructure landscape and of related technologies. You will have in depth experience in physical infrastructure deployments, especially within the Data Centre market. Consulting with datacentre operators about advancements in physical infrastructure technologies and standards. Keeping abreast of the latest standards will enable this person to ensure we have all the correct levels of certifications and accreditations. As we expand our Physical Infrastructure business and customer base, the role will include the recruitment and development of a team of technical consultants to support new bids and ensure the ongoing success and growth of our Physical Infrastructure deployments. RESPONSIBILITIES This is an exciting and broad role that will require strategic and commercial acumen, technical expertise and strong relationship skills. Product Management Maintaining an in-depth view of the Physical Infrastructure market in terms of segmentation, propositions & use cases, the technology and vendor ecosystem and competitors Setting & evolving the overall Physical Infrastructure strategy with the aim of developing repeatable and profitable Shaping North s Physical Infrastructure Product Roadmap: including vendor selection, technology choices, software platform selection and the training & development of the technical and operational delivery teams Collaborating with the Marketing and Sector teams to develop compelling Physical Infrastructure propositions Working with the Commercial, Finance and Sector teams to optimise pricing approaches and bid models Technical Consultancy Ongoing development of North s Physical Infrastructure offerings, as well as the provision of expert guidance and support End-to-end Physical designs and researching in to the latest regulations and ensuring all North s design conform to these regulations. Pre-sales / expert input to create sector propositions and bid responses Partner/Vendor Management Fostering partner engagement and developing strategic alliances with new partners and vendors that align with North s Product and Proposition strategy Maintain Vendor relationships in line with the vendor governance structure. Keep abreast of North s strategic partner roadmaps and empower sales teams to effectively communicate compelling offerings to customers Qualifications To succeed in the role, the following skills, knowledge and attributes are key: Solid track record in all aspects of Physical Infrastructure design and deployment.
