Title: Modern Apprenticeship Assessor
Location: West-Central Scotland
Pay: £24,150 – £27,825 per annum
Duration: Full-Time, Permanent
Reed – Further Education are seeking a Modern Apprenticeship Assessor to assess across apprenticeships in Sports and Leisure. This would be to the SQA standards. There will be some travel across Scotland for this position.
What’s the day-to-day responsibilities of an Assessor?
- You will have experience assessing on Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) and have experience marking to their assessment standards.
- You will assess across Sports and Leisure Qualifications
- You will manage a caseload of students and will plan and carry out their assessments and track their progress.
- Create candidate portfolios to agreed target standards and ensure they are submitted on time.
- Following assessment guidelines, using a variety of methods; carry out assessments in accordance with assessment specifications and assessment documentation.
- One-to-one support with candidates at least once every 2 weeks to provide support, prepare action plans, undertake assessments, and provide feedback on performance.
What are the required skills and qualifications needed for this role?
- Holds a L&D9 Assessors Award
- Relevant Sport and Leisure Qualification
- Current and Relevant Up to Date experience within the Sports and Leisure industry
- Relevant up to date subject knowledge and recent delivery in the Further Education or school sector.
