Murray Recruitment are currently recruiting a Revit Technician to join a leading Facilities Management provider on a permanent basis. Working within the CAD department and reporting to the BIM/CAD Manager, you will be responsible for all drawings, you will use M&E Engineers sketches to co-ordinate the M&E Services package, including clash detection via Navisworks Software. Main Duties Production of 2D and 3D drawings – As Installed, Line Schematics, Design, Information, Construction Drawings. Taking verbal direction and hand marked sketches, implementing into drawings for final work. Producing plans, elevations, technical details, and Building Layouts while meeting deadlines. Sheeting of drawings within Revit including storage and retrieval of drawings – Following company guidelines in various servers and archive locations. Also, at times uploading to external sites used by clients following naming protocols and guidelines. Production of 3D coordination drawings of the M&E systems – Producing drawings in Revit, ensuring sheeting follows internal procedures and correct Revit families are used and spatial fit works. Drawing Quantifying and Auto-Take-Off s – Auto-Counts for Design, As-Installed, Final Accounts) Assist BIM / CAD Manager with Quality Control. Assist with mark-up drawings when completing As-Installed drawings. Liaising with BIM/CAD managers regarding any issues. Liaising with Design Managers, Engineers, and Project Managers on drawing production. Liaising with customers, clients, consultants and builders regarding drawing production. Skills & Experience Minimum of HNC AutoCAD qualification required and BIM Level 2 qualification Minimum of 5 years experience with MEP Revit & AutoCAD within a contracting or consultancy business Good knowledge of Revit and experience in creating new families / parameters and assemblies Good understanding of Building Services M&E installations Understanding of Navisworks and clash detection. Proficiency with Microsoft Office packages. Building Services, including Fire and security and MEP industry experience, is desirable. Quality experience working for a similar company or contracting organisation. Familiar with COBie data production and extraction from Revit models is advantageous. Familiar with Navisworks and being able to navigate through models with the team.
