Financial Reporting AccountantGlasgow
Lusona is supporting one of our global clients in the service sector to source suitable applicants for the post of Financial Reporting Accountant within their expanding team. The successful candidate will be a key member of the group accounting team to ensure the preparation of statutory accounts and monthly management information. This is an important area of the business focussing on global statutory reporting and the associated external audit process.Main Responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and maintaining cash flow forecasts and providing commentary on variances.
- Manging the accounting for intangible and tangible fixed assets.
- Preparing month end journals and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Supporting the monthly/annual close and consolidation process and identifying any areas of improvement.
- Supporting management with the accuracy of any financial data reported within the general ledger and consolidation system.
- Managing the consolidation of the group and subsidiary financial statements
- Producing financial statements for specific areas of the business and coordinating with the external auditors for any audit queries.
- Ensuring compliance with FRS 102 and supporting with any other statutory processes.
- Continuously driving process improvement within the team.
- Providing support to senior management for any project work.

- Ad hoc project support.
To be considered for this role, candidates must be fully qualified (ICAS, ICAEW, ACCA or CIMA) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience. Ideally you will come from an audit background, but this is not essential. You will have a strong technical understanding of FRS 102 and IFRS and experience of group consolidations in an international environment. Applicants will ideally have experience working in an international and multi-currency business, preferably within the professional services sector.
