Job Description
A top tier, highly regarded Scottish firm is looking for a Solicitor to add to their Shipping team, based in Edinburgh.
The Firm & Team:
– Provide legal advice to companies within the shipping and transport sector
– Act for commercial and insurer clients on both transactional and contentious matters
– Supportive and collaborative environment
– Excellent training programme provided
The Role:
– Work for leading shipping and transport clients handling commercial and insurance disputes, claims, PI defence, marine and port regulation issues
– Handle a broad and varied caseload, acting for clients including P&I clubs, marine/energy insurers, commercial clients etc
– Training provided for those with no experience in the area
The Candidate:
– Interested in the shipping and transport sector
– Strong oral and written communication skills
– Experienced instructing counsel
– Experience with litigation not essential but ideal
