Glasgow Wood is looking for an energetic and experienced person to apply for the position of Managing Director afterour founder and CEO has chosen to step down after seventeen years of leading the organisation. Whilst times aregenerally always challenging trying to balance the social, environmental and financial aims of our socialenterprise, with strong foundations of good trading income, we look forward to the next period of Glasgow Wood’sdevelopment with optimism.

As our Finance Manager, you will work alongside the Executive Director and Senior Leadership Team to lead on thestrategic financial planning and policy development for the organisation. You will also support FEL’s Board inits financial governance role by providing accurate and timely information in an accessible format. Ensuring FELis compliant with all statutory accounts and charitable regulations is also critical to the role, as well asensuring our compliance with all grant funding obligations.

You will have experience of working within a dynamic and expanding organisation. A pro-active, flexible and adaptableapproach will be essential as you support an organisation with people, communities and the planet at itsheart.

You will have exceptional organisational skills, be comfortable line managing a small team and have the ability toproactively respond to changing funding landscapes.

Alongside the Executive Director, you will help deliver and develop a comprehensive corporate support function forthe organisation, reflecting the ambitions the Board and Leadership team have for FEL’s continued growth andlong-term sustainability.

Tron Theatre is seeking to appoint a new Artistic Director to play a vital role in ensuring the future success of theorganisation.

One of Scotland’s leading building-based theatres with its own in-house production company, the Tron Theatre deliversa very exciting programme of work servicing the needs of Glasgow and West of Scotland communities, as well asenjoying a strong UK and international profile. Located in Glasgow’s Merchant City the theatre consists of anatmospheric 230-seat Main Auditorium, 62-seat Changing House studio, a workshop space, the Victorian Bar (nowconverted into a workshop and rehearsal space), dressing rooms, a ‘get-in’ area, café bar, box office and officeaccommodation for administration and production staff.

Working collaboratively with the Board and Executive Director, the Artistic Director will be responsible for ensuringthe Tron Theatre delivers its vision and strategic objectives. At the core of this is a commitment to embeddingequality, diversity and inclusion across the organisation and recognising that, in managing all of ourresources, we do so to minimise our impact on the environment. The Artistic Director will be the face of theTron and as such an ambassador for the organisation, responsible for maintaining the Tron Theatre as a keycontributor to the artistic life of Glasgow and the West of Scotland, an integral part of the Scottish theatreeco-system and a hub of national and international cultural significance.

Although this position has traditionally been a full-time role, we are open to the Artistic Director working withincondensed hours, a 0.8 contract or on a joint/job-share basis that rethinks and revitalises traditionalmodels.

Glasgow’s Golden Generation (GGG) has been supporting older adults across Glasgow since 1948. The charity was set upinitially to alleviate loneliness and isolation within older people. While these services still exist today, GGGprovides so much more in modern times including: 2 Day Care Centres, Befriending Services, Weekly Clubs,Careline, Digital Coaching and Welfare Services.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Chief Executive Officer; perhaps you are already in aCEO/Directors role, or you may be looking to step up from Senior Management to continue the excellent work ofthe charity. GGG is seeking experienced candidates that will have a proven record of good business acumen, anextensive knowledge of charitable services and the sector in general. In addition, GGG seek to appoint acandidate that has a strong fundraising background and particularly within statutory and private trust andfoundation making bodies. GGG has strong income relationships with several significant multiyear funders alreadyin place; it is essential to our charity that these networks and additional funding pipeline can continue.

Your new opportunity

We are currently recruiting a Director of Finance & Corporate Services to join our well-established ExecutiveTeam. As a key member of the leadership team, you will direct Quarriers’ finance and corporate servicesfunction, including the management of our property portfolio and our health & safety teams. You will beresponsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our £50m budget, including financial reporting and planning,while liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

A key part of the role will include reporting to the Board of Trustees and Chief Executive, offering strategic adviceand solutions on all finance and corporate services matters, and to support the Board in the preparation ofbudgets and financial reports.

This is a full-time permanent role working 35 hours per week in line with our agile working policy, which blendshome-working with office time and service visits.

What you will need to bring to the role

  • CCAB Qualified Accountant
  • Extensive knowledge and experience at a senior level in a complexorganisation
  • Proven experience of contract negotiation and commercial focus
  • Excellent problemsolver who is driven by positive outcomes
  • Chartered Accountant status or post-graduate managementqualification is desirable
  • Excellent IT and analytical skills
