Specialist Pig Veterinary Surgeon York – £30-60k PA, DOE A specialist independent of Pigs, Beef, and Sheep is looking to expand, here is an opportunity to develop and join a supportive and developing team of Veterinary professionals. You are a Vet, we know, but do you have an interest and preference in Pigs if it’s Yes, then we want to hear from you. This may be the role you are looking for. Based on the outskirts of the beautiful and historic city of York, this practice has not only the city on its doorstep but the East Coast and Yorkshire Countryside within easy commute. It really is a beautiful, and expansive place to live, with activities for all within easy reach. As a proud, long-standing, independent practice, this role is born through growth, expansion, and demand on the successful practice. They have a loyal client base with a great reputation in the surrounding marketplace. In 2018, they moved into a new, large purpose-built practice, which houses plenty of space and state-of-the-art equipment, including their own in-house lab, large animal equipment, plus much more. This role is being offered on a permanent contract, 40 hours per week ideally, however, consideration would be made for anyone looking for fewer hours. For them experience is great, but it is more about you really. They are looking for a team player, someone who can confidently and competently command the role, as you lead your own caseload. Yes, there is an out-of hours however, it is limited when it comes to Pigs but you already know this. The out-of-hours are minimal and as required. Work-life balance is important the practice understands this. Time is given back in lieu. Collaboration with the wider team is required and actively encouraged. Therefore, you need to be a team player. You will have the opportunities to work on your own cases, have a supportive environment to discuss cases, offer advice, take advice, and mentorship opportunities within the team. There is an experienced team here, lots to draw from, as well as some newer graduates who could learn from you. It is all about getting the best results possible for every animal.
