HEALTH & SAFETY ADVISER – CAMBUSLANG – £210 PER DAY
We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Adviser to provide expert advice and support that incorporates practical and theoretical knowledge of both Health and Safety legislation and best practice.
Day to day, you will
- Research and analyse a range of Health and Safety information, identify areas of concern through trend analysis, and prepare and provide reports
- Lead on the planning and delivery of programmes of safety audits, inspections, and health and safety event investigations
- Review policies, procedures and reports to ensure compliance with health and safety legislative and corporate standards
- Identify, investigate and resolve health and safety issues of major significance
- Champion and promote a culture of safe working practices and legal compliance through the promotion of health and safety best practice, and the provision of training to Managers in Health and Safety procedures such as Risk Assessment, Method Statements, and Accident Investigation
Essential Criteria
- Holding a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
- Post qualification experience
- Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation and its application
- Graduate Membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (Grad IOSH) working towards Chartered Membership (CMIOSH)
- Proven experience of health and safety management systems
- Proven experience of operating a systematic approach to managing health and safety
- Proven experience of working with trade unions and rep bodies
- Proven experience of technical health and safety problem solving in an analytical manner, identifying sensible and proportionate solutions
