Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd are the routine operations and maintenance contractor for the section of the A74(M) / M74 between the Border and Junction 12 and are seeking Motorway Maintenance Operatives for both our Depots at Eaglesfield, DG11 3LE and Crawford, ML12 6TW to carry out various duties relevant to Motorway Maintenance. The Motorway Operative Role Attending road accidents Litterpicking Repair safety fence Cyclic Maintenance TM for various site operations WINTER MAINTENANCE 24 hours Standby Rota. Winter maintenance on a shift basis. Salting. Ploughing. Overtime may be required to carry out all the above duties and Operatives must be willing to work in all weathers. Your profile The successful candidate must have an LGV2 Driving Licence minimum with Driver CPC. Experience of traffic management/safety fence and winter road maintenance an advantage. Must be able to attend any incident within one hour of a call. Preferably hold a CPCS / CSCS Card.
