Context/Scope:

Diageo Digital & Technology (DT) is a multi-functional, digital delivery function established to liberate and equip markets to deliver the Diageo’s Strategic Priorities.

This a senior role, sitting in the Procurement Value Stream, working as Programme manager.

This is a 6 months secondment opportunity.

Purpose of Role:

This role’s accountabilities will be across Programme management and business partnering: the role will be accountable for partnering with the Procurement teams for driving efficiency and effectiveness aligned with their priorities. The role will work on the refining of the Procurement business strategy, developing robust business cases with the business stakeholders and advise on investments and programmes of work to be delivered by the Value Stream.

As a Programme Manager the role is responsible for planning, executing, and managing a portfolio of projects and initiatives within the D&T Procurement Value Stream.

The role will be stakeholders facing and act as a liaison between business stakeholders and D&T teams to ensure alignment and successful achievement of strategy and project execution. The role is key to drive optimised return on D&T investment – we spend our money in the best places.

Market Complexity:

This role is focused on supporting the Procurement Value Stream within Global Supply, working across all markets.

Top Accountabilities:

Program Planning: Define the program’s objectives, scope, and deliverables, in line with Procurement strategic roadmap. Develop and manage programme timeline and schedule, including resource requirements.

Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources for program activities.

Coordinate with project managers and teams to ensure resource availability.

Risk, Issue & Dependency Management: Anticipate programme-level risks and issues, use problem solving and collaboration skills to mitigate risks and resolve issues.

Financial Management: Programme manager is accountable for end to end programme financial planning and management.

Rigorous governance: Establish at the outset a clear & robust programme governance model. Use the programme governance to drive decisions, outcomes, engagement and management of stakeholders. Follow the Diageo PACE methodology.

Manage Change: Understand the wider impact of programme and change implementation. Collaborate with stakeholders and Regional Head of Delivery and Change to ensure there is an awareness of the change.

Scope investment opportunity: Work with the Head of the VS and stakeholders in Procurement to take business ideas for capability improvement and translate them into a deliverable project.

Shape the future strategy: identify future opportunities, providing external perspectives and provocation to our business stakeholders. Work with our colleagues in Enterprise Architecture to support the assessment of new technology and decommission roadmap.

Partner with the business: you will engage with subject matter experts across the organization, inspire and collaborate with them to enable successful outcomes. You will have the patience and flexibility to collaborate and engage with customers and colleagues across levels and functions.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • 5+ Years project delivery experience
  • 3+ Year in Business Analyst
  • Proven experience and success of delivering large complex Global projects or programmes with multi-million pound budget
