The RolePertemps Edinburgh are looking for trainee recruitment consultants that will be excited to be an important contributor to our team’s continued success. We want to be the first recruitment agency that comes to mind for local businesses considering taking on new members of staff. This role comes with a lot of responsibility as you will be in the driving seat for sourcing, screening and placing candidates into employment.Key ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will have the following skills and mindset:
- Be comfortable working in a sales environment; you are the main point of contact between candidates and clients. You will need to source and fully qualify candidates, then if they are a good fit prep them for an interview with a client
- Confident on the telephone to speak with both totally new and existing contacts
- Experience of either sales, business development or customer service with demonstrable results-driven outcomes mentality
- Prior experience in recruitment is NOT essential, attitude matters most and we can teach you the rest
- Conduct thorough research on clients, engaging in proactive outreach, developing extensive knowledge of the local market, and taking on other key activities to help effectively bring on new business
- Establish who key decision-makers are and identify whether the company has propensity to use our services, dig a little deeper to find out if clients are hiring now, and within what timeframe.
- Good IT skills and ideally, some experience with a CRM system
