Project Coordinator Location: Eurocentral – Motherwell Salary: £30,380 per annum + Excellent Benefits Hours: 35 Hours per week Contract: Fixed Term until May 2025. Other opportunities may open up within the organisation. The Project Coordinator will deliver Enable s heritage programme in North Lanarkshire. This role will also oversee a Project Archivist. This programme will seek to engage people who have learning disabilities in North Lanarkshire on their heritage and review their experiences. Today we are a thriving charity, one of the largest in Scotland and the UK, and the years 2023 and 2024 mark significant anniversaries for us – 2023 being the 30th Anniversary of our advocacy programme, and 2024 being the 70th Anniversary of Enable itself. We want to empower communities across North Lanarkshire to recognise the local history and positive changes made by people with learning disabilities to human rights and life in Scotland. We want to celebrate and promote the heritage of the social changes for people with learning disabilities over the last 70 years, and the role that Enable, the nation s largest disability charity, along with its members, have played in making that change. About You The primary responsibilities of this candidate will be: – To establish and initiate Enable s heritage programme – including relationships with local stakeholders, marketing the programme and developing networks to encourage young people to participate. – To deliver weekday and evening sessions each week for people with learning disabilities. – To work with an Archivist to develop an inclusive programme that is fun, engaging and supports people to understand and engage with heritage. – To support people with learning disabilities to engage with local disability heritage, design and deliver public presentations, activities and engagement opportunities. – To support people with disabilities to engage in arts-based activity, promoting heritage activity. – To support with establishing networks of parents and carers of people with a disability of different generations. – To support with establishing networks of staff of different generations who have supported people with a disability locally. – To ensure all delivery meets regulatory and compliance standards, including Health and Safety and Child Protection. – Any other duties as may be reasonably requested in order to deliver the programme.
