About this role

The Packaging & Supply Optimization team is responsible for the management and delivery of Diageo’s Supplier Audit Program. We source materials from over 400 suppliers to manufacture products across Europe and the UK. In this role, you will work in partnership with our Supplier Audits Senior Specialist to ensure our supplier certifications are up to date and that any corrective actions that result from a supplier audit are actioned.

This role will provide an opportunity for you to raise your profile whilst learning new and transferable skills. You will be supported by key individuals from the Packaging Development Team and have a clear set of objectives for the term of this role.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Conducting remote audits of suppliers to ensure their food safety certifications are up to date.
  • Overseeing the completion of physical, in person audits, that are carried out by 30 lead auditors that sit on different teams throughout Diageo.
  • Works with the lead auditors to understand gaps identified during the audits and ensures a mitigation plan is in place and is completed as agreed to.
  • Overseeing the travel budget of the audit program, ensuring that the budget outlook is updated monthly.
  • Managing Power BI reporting of supplier audits dashboards.
  • Working in partnership with the supplier audit senior specialist to identify and lead improvement opportunities for the audit program.

To be successful in this role, you will need;

  • Experience in project management, packaging, food science, food safety, auditing or related field
  • Knowledge in supplier development
  • Food Safety – GFSI, ISO, FSSC knowledge a benefit
  • Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills across different international cultures. Ability to influence, persuade, convince. Ability to compromise, build consensus. Able to resolve conflicts.
