Support Worker

Falkirk

Zero hour contract paying an hourly rate of £12.00.

We are looking for a compassionate Support Worker to join our team. A driving license is essential for this role.

With a network of branches across the UK, Mears has been providing housing with care support services since 1994.

We aim to work in partnership with commissioners and others to develop and deliver high-quality care in the community to vulnerable people. Our goal is to provide housing with care based on an enabling approach with an outcome focused support planning process.

As a large provider of social care services, Mears works collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to address challenges in the social care marketplace.

We are Mears Supported Living Ltd, providing a range of care and support services to people out in the community and in their own homes.

About the role:

Mears Care are looking for valued Support Worker to join our team in Falkirk, Scotland. We are looking for a Support Worker to assist one of our service users on a 2 weekly rolling rota. You will be required to complete day to day activities such as housework, cleaning, washing, shopping, appointments and outings. Full use of service user’s car is available.

The rota will consist of the below;

Week 1 Thursday 7.15am-5pm and Friday 7.15am-2pm Total of 16.5 hours

Week 2 Monday 7.15am-5pm and Thursday 7.15am-5pm total of 19.5 hours

“This can be topped up with hours from other packages should they require more hours”

Our service user suffers from Epilepsy, but has an alarm when he is expecting an episode, all training will be given but knowledge of Epilepsy would be a benefit. This gentleman has a dog, so you must be dog friendly and happy to go out for walks.

No personal care is involved for this role, but dignity and attention to detail are a priority.

Role Criteria:
