As a Nursery Supervisor, you will be at the helm of the nursery s early learning haven, overseeing daily operations and ensuring a world-class experience for children, parents, and staff. Experience: A minimum of 2 years working in a Nursery setting with supervisory experience. If you’ve already been a senior practitioner or room leader, that’s a huge plus! Qualification: SVQ LEVEL 3 HNC IN CHILDCARE/EARLY YEARS, PDA LEVEL 9 EARLY YEARS Educational Insight: Excellent knowledge of CFE, RTA, and the latest Care Inspectorate guidelines Passion for Learning: Proven experience in creating engaging and high-quality learning opportunities People Skills: Empathy and top-notch communication skills, making you a star with both children and parents Organizational Whiz: Exceptional organisational skills to keep our ship sailing smoothly Tech Savvy: Basic IT skills to navigate modern tools Calm and Caring: A soothing demeanour and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team Self-Starter: Independence and the initiative to drive positive change Reliable, Enthusiastic, and Flexible: Ready to adapt and thrive in any situation Quality-Oriented: Committed to delivering excellence in all aspects of childcare Stress-Resistant: Performs brilliantly even under pressure Creative Thinker: Brings fresh ideas and innovation to the table Sense of Humour: A sprinkle of humour to make each day brighter What will your role look like? Leading the daily operation of the Nursery playroom Fostering positive relationships with colleagues to enhance our curriculum and maximise children’s potential Ensuring the nursery/playroom remains a secure sanctuary for children, staff, and visitors Developing strong connections with parents and carers to actively engage them in their child’s development journey Managing and inspiring dedicated staff within the nursery/playrooms Tackling diverse tasks delegated by the Director/Manager with enthusiasm and precision Supervising Early Years Practitioners, Assistants, and students Crafting an engaging and relevant curriculum Ensuring the safety and welfare of every child Empowering parents to be active co-educators in their child’s development Providing top-notch education within the Early Years framework Monitoring and evaluating the curriculum’s effectiveness Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere Caring for children’s physical, emotional, social, and intellectual well-being Sharing observations and assessments with parents Promoting positive values and behaviour Overseeing key worker responsibilities Assisting with induction and settling in for new children Establishing a daily routine Managing children’s work presentations Planning and organising educational outings Keeping parents informed and involved Ensuring inclusive care for children with special needs What can you expect in return?
